Much has happened in 2013 at Zapnito. With your support, we have gone from start-up to a growing business. As we begin 2014, it is with mixed feelings that we’ve decided it’s time for us to say goodbye to our old expert marketplace (experts.zapnito.com).

From 2014, we will focus completely on our enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) business model to enable companies and organizations to build their own knowledge networks.

We started Zapnito as a place for individuals to share their knowledge in a much more meaningful and targeted way than what we were seeing with Linkedin and other social media sites. It is still our mission to help reduce the noise of the Internet by fostering networked knowledge. The best way for us to do this is to help enterprises reclaim their customers and communities back from the social web and noise.

We help organizations create branded knowledge networks by removing the technology barrier and moving the focus away from crowded social sites and back to the organizations who have deep relationships with their customers already.

Thank you for all of your support and contributions since we launched the expert marketplace in March, 2013 on Zapnito. Many of you I know personally, or have come to know you since that beta launch in March. We look forward to keeping in touch as Zapnito continues to develop.

And of course if you know any companies that may be interested in using Zapnito as a platform to build their knowledge networks internally or externally please contact me.

Wishing you all a prosperous and healthy 2014.

Charles Thiede

CEO & Co-Founder, Zapnito

My background is in technology, professional services and digital media. I co-founded Zapnito due to a number of related observations from my time in these sectors: 1) the social web is creating a huge amount of noise 2) expertise that brands have built up over decades is being drowned out and hidden from those that need it 3) these brands are therefore losing their audience to often undeserving and unhelpful sources, and 4) people are finding it harder to access the expertise that they truly value. I therefore decided to create Zapnito, a white-label platform to help trusted brands reclaim their audiences via expert-driven knowledge networks.
